The Kermit Police Department has launched tip411, an internet based tool that enables the public to text message anonymous tips to police, and allows the police to respond back if necessary.

Reserved exclusively for Public Safety purposes and powered by CitizenObserver, a St. Paul, Minnesota Company, tip411 puts a powerful new crime fighting tool into the hands of the Kermit community for all ages and demographics.

tip411 is not a substitute for calling the Police Department to report any in-progress incident. If an immediate response is needed, please dial 911 in cases of emergency or 432-586-2577 if no emergency exists.

How to send anonymous tips:

Option 1: TEXT 847411
Cell telephone users can text information to 847411.
Simply type in KERMITPD, enter a space, then type your tip and hit send. The keyword KERMITPD must be included.
When the text message is sent to the KPD the tipster’s cellular phone number is completely anonymous and is never received by the KERMIT PD.
Option 2: Download our KERMIT PD Tip App
Click the links to the right to download the KERMITPD Tips app from your app store. This application provides citizens with the ability to submit anonymous tips from their smart phone. You may also search for "KERMITPD" in your App Store.
Option 3: Send Tip Online
Use the form below to submit your anonymous tip online. After submitting a tip using the web service, you will be assigned a six digit code with numbers and letters. That is your anonymous ID to log back into the system by clicking the follow-up tab below.
